Best Online Trading Courses

Last Updated on December 6, 2019

If you’re new to trading or looking for a way to sharpen your skill set with new and innovative strategies, it’s important for you to consider a trainer who has a track record of success.

A skilled trainer can take you to higher peaks, lessening the chance for some of them tragic low valleys. Regardless of your level of skill, we think that we have amassed a list of some of the 5 most foremost online stock trading courses currently available.

We will provide the specifics of the program, the common pros and cons, as well as assorted pertinent information aimed to make you comfortable in your decision to join one course over another.

1. Warrior Trading

Warrior Trading is probably one of the most popular trading programs available today. Each month, the program gets over 10,000 searches per month, which at the very least says something about its reach throughout the trading world.

Warrior Trading, a momentum trading platform, is led by Ross Cameron. Ross really knows his stuff and he has the trading background to match.

When it comes to the nuts and bolts of the platform, most people like the fact that it’s based on a real time chat room. This allows for good advice and a community that truly feels alive and worthwhile to jump into. Unfortunately, the chat room does not allow you to duplicate trades from the chat room.

The backend itself is developed wll and neat; allowing all of the pertinent information to be displayed without having the user scour the program to find good information.

While there’s a monthly fee attached to Warrior Trading, they let you check out the program to see if its a fit for you without you having to fork over any money. The trial lasts for 5 days.

2. Trade Ideas

Trade Ideas, is very similar to another program we reviewed called the Online Trading Academy. It is renowned for their artificial intelligence market scanning, a tool that many traders could not do without. It’s true that not many people know about their training for new traders, too. Their training program is available when you sign up for their scanner – either through TI University or their 1-on-1 training.

What we like about this program is that they’re generally good guys and offer solid advice for those looking for it. Through the university mode, you stand to get four different levels of instructional videos, as well as eBooks and various other types of documentation.

One thing of note – all of this is archived training. While it’s not out of date or anything, most people do prefer live 1-on-1 training. If you want this from TI, you’re going to have to pay for it. It’s not cheap – it starts at $99 per hour for training.

So, while we praise Trade Ideas for their life-changing market scanner and their general knowledge on all things training, the live training price may be a bit high for people who are just starting out.

3. Investors Underground

IU has been around since 2008. Since that time, they’ve been providing a metric ton of universal advice for new and seasoned traders alike. A lot of this is due to their contributors, namely Tim Grittani and Eric Wood, two of the more popular traders currently operating.

The Nathan Michaud product specializes in Swing Trading, OTC trading, and Momentum trading – though momentum trading seems to be their biggest area of emphasis. They’re also more centered around technical than fundamental analysis.

For example, IU will be good for those focusing on red/green trading reversals, ABCD charts, and short-selling parabolic moves.

We also like that they’re super easy to get on with, including $1 trades and good setups of the day. In short, they’re good for people who like a faster speed of trading. Their monthly webinars can be extremely valuable, too.

However, we would be remiss if we didn’t bring up that they’re more tailored to those who know the basics, though they have a lot of archived stuff to bring newbies up to speed.

4. Investool by TD Ameritrade

Everyone knows the name TD Ameritrade – even those with virtually no interest in trading. Their learning programing goes by the name of Investool and it’s pretty nifty for a few reasons.

What we like about Investool is that the name comes with confidence attached to it, backed by some of the most knowledgeable trade professionals.

Their brand is large and they’re committed to it, so you can expect their lessons to be comprehensive and easy enough to follow in its curriculum-style learning. You can even save your progress.

Even their free training include portfolio management, fundamental analysis, trading and technical analysis.

Unfortunately, we think that their teaching style – while full of information – is a bit drab. They have a decent long way to go to keep some people’s attention. That’s not so bad when you consider that they’re a trading platform – not specifically one for training.

However, if that doesn’t bother you, you’d be hard-pressed to find a more in-depth library, even though it may skimp on the immersion for some.

5. Tim Sykes Training Program

Tim Sykes is a different kind of animal. He possesses one of the best minds in trading and he’s been around the block a few times.

Since 1999, he’s been showing people how to make money first from penny stocks. He’s also been showing people how much money he’s been making on social media.

Love him or hate him – no one can really doubt how good he is at his job. At current, he possesses one of the most popular training programs available on the internet. is a cool website where you can receive lessons, chatroom sessions, and mentorship.

He operates three different tiers for training – two of which being open to everyone who applies. The third is invite-only, but it does allow you to basically copy Tim’s moves and hope to make money.

However, the first is probably one of the more training programs available. For $75 a month, you get access to a 5-10 stock watchlist, chatrooms, and real-time alerts to your phone.

The second gets you everything under Tim’s alerts, plus over 4,000 different video lessons in the library and even weekly video lessons.

Lastly, he’s known for top-notch customer service, a record that has made superstars in the industry, and a UI that puts other programs to shame.

All in all, we believe that you can find some success in all of these programs, with some being just a matter of preference or how you’d like to trade.
