Finally a 4.1% 7 Month CD from Countrywide

featured articleIts been a while since we've mentioned or even thought about investing in CD's here at the Masters.  But Countrywide just put out a 7 Month CD at 4.1% APY, not a bad deal considering the Bear market.  Just don't put over a $100K, but Countrywide shouldn't pull a IndyMac.

Ben Bernanke and all the other clowns at the Federal Reserve are meeting on March 18, 2008 to cut interest rates AGAIN.

Be warned that futures traders are considering the possibility of a full 1.00% cut.

Countrywide Bank's sneaky 4.80% 5-Month CD

This past Sunday Countrywide offered special 5 month CD's at 4.8% APY in a few lucky states, like New York.  Bankdeals.BlogSpot has a write-up about it, here it is for you CD hunting folks:

Countrywide Bank's 6 month 4.75% APY Certificate of Deposit

Fellow Masters, Countrywide's latest 6 month CD at 4.75% may be worth a look.  They require a $10K minimum deposit and taking that money out 6 months from today may be a great time to get back into stocks. 

CD Hunting: Washington Federal Savings and their 7 Month 4.25% APY

Fellow CD Hunters, found a decent deal at Washington Federal that over the weekend that went from a 5 month to a 7 month CD, missed the boat but still if you're on the lookout for low risk, check it out.
