Best CD Rates can be found at New Banks, like Quantum National Bank

If you are a resident of Georgia you are in luck, providing you want to lock your money away for 2 years you can score a 2.97% APY CD Rate with only a minimum of $1,000. However Quantum also has a decent 9 month CD option at 1.75%.

CD Rates for June 09 - Forget about it (forgetaboutit)

Looking for a decent 3 month CD rate, or just any good high yield Certificate of Deposit Rate? There are none. The three-month average CD slid to 0.62% from 0.64% the previous week. That’s the lowest average since Bankrate.com began tracking 3-month CD rates in March 1989. Mastery reviews this week's CD rates and the only hope is a quote from Donnie Brasco.

The Only 3 Month High Yield CD worth Considering (Certificate of Deposit)

Hey, we're not GMAC Bank anymore, no way, forget that we have any affiliation with GM, let's call the business... Ally Bank. Fellow Masters, Allly is out with 12 Month 2.8% APY classic certificate of deposit and a 1.7% APY 3 Month CD. Start a CD with all for $0, that's right, at least that's what the initial ad says.

Coming or Going: OneWest Bank's 3, 6, and 9 Month CDs

IndyMac is now OneWest Bank and they are offering 3, 6, 9 Month CD's at 1.15%, 1.35% and 2.3% APY respectively. The goal here is to bring people in the door, not the other way around, think it will work?

Discover Bank offering a 2.35% 12 Month High Yield CD
Posted May 9th, 2009 by theStockMasters...Discover Bank is offering a 2.35% APY 12 Month High Yield CD but you'll need at least $2,500 to start an account. Of course you can get a 4% APY if you lock away your money with them for 10 years.
