Is NetFlix becoming TankFlix?

Netflix Interface - big pic

Ran up to $575 and now what?

Netflix (NFLX) beat the Street last conference call and it's stock soared. However since that time the stock has come back down to reality. Is now the time to buy and believe it will climb back to where it was last month and beyond?

One ETF to rule them all.

First Trust DJ Internet Index Fund ETF (FDN) has been around since 2006 and is up 200% since then. The ETF now holds some of our favorite stocks that could do well in 2015 including Facebook (FB), Amazon Inc (AMZN), Google (GOOGL), Netflix (NFLX), Salesforce.com (CRM), Priceline (PCLN), and eBay Inc (EBAY).

What else can you use besides Netflix to watch movies and TV shows online?

The obvious and perhaps best user experience to watching movies and tv shows online is Netflix (NFLX).  They are the setting the bar and their user friendly-intuitive design is the standard that everyone else is copying.  If you want to watch movies from your laptop, XBOX 360, PS3, tablet (iPad, Nexus 7, Nexus 10) then this is the list you have been searching.  Believe it or not, there are free versions of Netflix on the web however they are not legal.

2015 starts off horrible. Relax.

Stocks are not dying, everyone needs to take a breath. Thanks to the pullback quality names like Google (GOOGL), Exxon Mobil (XOM), Walt Disney (DIS), and even Netflix (NFLX) look attractive.

Robocopy - I'd buy that for a Dollar

A 'Buy' rating despite a 22% drop in share price.

Time to back up the truck for shares of Netflix (NFLX)?  One analyst thinks so.

covered calls beavis

Here are today's Covered Call Picks for Wednesday 07-03-2013.

What's a Covered Call?

The covered call is a strategy where an investor writes a call option contract (sells an option) while at the same time owning an equivalent number of shares of the underlying stock. If this stock is purchased simultaneously with writing the call contract, the strategy is commonly referred to as a buy-write.

While you may have heard that trading options is risky business, covered calls are actually a very conservative strategy, and most brokerages even allow retirement IRA accounts to write covered calls.

Apple Inc MONEY

What can $22B buy?  All kinds of cool shit.

It was one of the worst days ever for Apple Inc. (AAPL) shareholders.  Steve Jobs would not be pleased.  Apple's market cap shaved off $22 billion, that's double Netflix's(NFLX) value.  Since Apple's 52-week high of $705 its market cap has lost $283 billion.  Keep in mind Google's (GOOG) market cap is $257 billion.  What else could that lost money have bought?

Steven Seagal Fat

After your 3rd helping to pancakes take a minute to review these investing ideas.

It was a mixed bag for stocks but we found a sparkle in Apple Inc. (AAPL) and VocalTec (CALL).  Mastery also found a few stocks that are due for a pullback including Linked In (LNKD) and Netflix (NFLX).  We review the first trading week in April 2013 and hail the 7th-dan black belt in Aikido.
